The new SPINNER Werkzeugmaschinenfabrik GmbH TTS turning centres enable multi channel machining with bar capacity up to 125mm, and configurable with 2, 3, or 4 turrets (all working simultaneously at both spindles)……

Ergonomic focussed design as is usual from SPINNER, and latest touch screen Siemens control / programming system.

This is high performance multi channel complete machining, but for larger parts (up to 500mm diameter), and with excellent usability features.

The Brother M200Xd1 uniquely offers 5 axis machining and turning in one platform, with up to 28 milling or turning tools, but with a very small footprint and with features that offer a significant productivity uplift -

- chip-to-chip time of 1.4 seconds
- spindle startup in 0.2 seconds
- rapid traverse rates of 50m/min

All while consuming less energy, and easily compatible with workpiece automation.

The M200Xd1, with its workpiece area of diameter 300mm x height 300mm, is now joined by the larger M300Xd1, with workpiece area of diameter 450mm x height 350mm.

? ? Op 2 on three twin-piston brake calipers fixtured side-by-side now takes 19 minutes whereas it previously took 32 minutes, representing a 40% reduction. Time savings of this order are typical across the expanding range of parts being transferred across to the more agile machine.

? ? The footprint occupied by the Brother R650 is 20% smaller, which is helpful in a busy factory requiring more and more machine tools to service a business whose recent annual percentage turnover growth is well into double digits.

? ? Any 30-taper machining centre draws less power than a 40-taper machine with equivalent working envelope, there is an ongoing reduction in energy consumption that not only saves money but is also appropriate in a company that makes equipment for carbon-free transportation. The R650X1 additionally provides power regeneration from spindle deceleration, while the Brother CNC-C00 control minimises the power consumed by motors, pumps and lights by putting them into standby when not in use.
