We’ve recently joined Made in the Midlands and are very excited about meeting you all at the Virtual Breakfasts and live events. We do believe that it’s a great opportunity to network, discuss the latest industry developments and share best practice with each other.

We are a Worcester based heavy duty racking system manufacturer that has been supplying a very diverse range of industry sectors with a variety of storage solutions for over 40 years. So, if you have stock of:

We're looking for a Structural Engineer!

To support our continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to enhance our Technical Team.

This is an important and exciting role, providing technical expertise across our full product range and future product streams.

Designs can range from a simple connection detail to a full rack shed. You will be a key member of the Technical department, supporting both Sales and Production in providing robust and efficient designs, whilst developing new products alongside.

SMAS Worksafe Accreditation

Wickens Engineering Ltd is pleased to confirm that we have successfully passed the audit requirements for our SMAS renewal. We have been checked and verified against the SSIP Core Criteria and UK Health & Safety legislation.

Smas Worksafe accreditation has been achieved following an assessment of Wickens Health & Safety documentation, and compared against the SSIP Core Criteria, which set out the standards required to achieve accreditation.

Wickens has achieved certification by meeting the required standards on the below criteria:

Health & Safety policy and organisation for Health & Safety
Arrangements
Competent advice – corporate and construction related.
Individual qualifications and experience
Monitoring, audit and review
Workforce involvement
Accident reporting and enforcement action; follow up investigation.
Sub-contracting/consulting procedures (if applicable)
Risk assessment leading to safe system of work.
Co-operating with others and co-ordinating your work with that of other contractors
Welfare provision

SMAS Worksafe (short for Safety Management Advisory Services) is a nationally recognised Health & Safety accreditation used to demonstrate our Health & Safety standards. This certification helps us as a business to provide our customers with confidence in our competence.

Wickens' ultramarathon hero

Wickens Engineering Ltd — 13/07/2022

All at Wickens are very proud of Ade, our Technical Sales Coordinator, who completed a non-stop 100km (62 miles) ultramarathon on 9^th July, raising £1,075 for charity.

Despite having Covid-19 five weeks prior to the event and a leg injury at 35km mark on the day, Ade completed the race in 16 hours and 10 minutes, which is a great result considering the incredible distance and the heat on the day.

Ade has also beaten his fundraising target with £1,075 raised, all going to the Worcester-based St Richard’s Hospice, which supports adults with a serious progressive illness.

The Race to the Stones runs along the Ridgeway, one of the Britain’s most historic routes, and takes place every year for those willing to test their endurance.
